Alessia Elena Vlad (n. 28 august 2007, Bucharest, Romania), better known as Alessiah, is a young and fresh Romanian singer and songwriter from Bucharest. Her influences include genres such as pop, dance pop and electronic music.
Childhood and education
- Alessiah was born on 28 August 2007 in Bucharest, Romania, in a family that has nothing to do with practicing music. Since she was 4–5 years old, she's been insisting to go to a school where she could take music lessons; her mother didn't consider her requests at first, but at seven years old she took Alessiah seriously and signed her up at "Atelierul de voce si muzica".
- She dreamt of her music career since she was a child and insisted on going to music lessons starting from seven years old.[1]
- At the age of 10, she picked her stage name as AVI Alessia Vlad and launched her musical career as an independent artist with her first song "Sunday".
- At the age of 11, she launched her second song named "Rebels", a project with an interesting story which she worked on for almost two years.[2]
- While attending her classes at "Atelierul de voce si muzica", she started taking CVT[3] classes taught by her music teacher.
- While attending her classes at "Atelierul de voce si muzica", she started taking CVT classes taught by her music teacher. She started studying the guitar later on.
- Along with launching her song "Hurricane" through the label "Universal Music Romania", she picked her new and current stage name Alessiah. And that's how she got to be the youngest artist managed by Universal Group Romania.
Music career
- Alessiah's first steps in music were made at "Atelierul de voce si muzica" - by the Romanian legend Loredana Groza and her appearances alongside Loredana Groza at TV shows or concerts encouraged her to take her own career in the music industry seriously.
- In November 2019, Alessiah marked her transforming from a childish attitude to a more serious one by launching her song "Hurricane" and a music video that's extremely suggestive; the song was made by the producer Vanotek in collaboration with Minelli. Not even a month after the launch, the song managed to enter the KissFm Chisinau playlist from Moldavia on the radio, and that's how Alessiah succeeded for the first time.
- On 29th of February 2020, a ceremony took place where the winners for the contest "PERSON OF THE YEAR 2019" organised by VIP Magazin were announced. The winners were chosen based on their professionalism, value and integrity. With all that being evaluated 50% by the public, and 50% by the jury, Alessiah won "THE PERSON OF THE YEAR 2019" in the section "VIP JUNIOR"[5]
