Alexandre Rigaud is a French entrepreneur, academic, and technology professional. He is the co-founder and chief executive officer (CEO) of STEP, the company behind the fitness application FitWin,[1] and a lecturer in blockchain and digital innovation at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.[2]

Early career

Before becoming an entrepreneur, Rigaud’s early career involved various roles in IT and digital innovation. He was an active participant in regional startup programs, including Startup Weekend Ras Al Khaimah in 2017,[3][4] and Ford’s Inaugural entrepreneurship Academy in Dubai in 2018.[5][6]

Entrepreneurship

Rigaud has founded and co-founded several digital ventures. In 2019 he launched Pockero, a blockchain-based application focused on sustainable consumption and digital goods.[7][8]

In 2018 he co-founded STEP, a technology company developing health and fitness platforms. Its flagship product, FitWin, is a mobile application that uses gamification to motivate users through competitions and rewards.[1][9]

Academic work

Rigaud teaches blockchain and digital innovation at Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi.[2] His research and teaching focus on the applications of blockchain in sustainable development and the circular economy.

Public speaking

He has spoken at entrepreneurship and technology events in the Middle East, including TopCEO and Google MENA conferences.[1][10]
