Alice in Borderland is a Japanese sci-fi thriller streaming television series created by Shinsuke Sato for Netflix and produced by Robot Communications. Based on the manga of the same name, the series stars Kento Yamazaki as a Ryōhei Arisu, a young adult who, along with his two best friends, is transported to an alternate Tokyo where they must play deadly games in order to survive.[1] The eight-episode first season was released on December 10, 2020.[2]
Alice in Borderland has received a largely positive reception from critics and audiences, with praise towards its visual effects, world building, acting, directing, and writing. [3]
