All Seasons Place is a shopping mall within George Town in the Malaysian state of Penang. Located at the neighbourhood of Farlim, the 546,046 sq ft (50,729.3 m2) mall forms the podium of All Seasons Park, a mixed-use development also comprising four 31-storey condominiums.[1][2][3]
The three-storey open-air strip mall, touted as the first of its kind in Penang, was designed by the Australian architectural firm Cottee Parker Architects and opened in 2012.[1][4] Most of the mall's outlets are arranged in a 500 m (1,600 ft) row facing Lebuhraya Thean Teik with sidewalks stretching along the outlets.
History[edit]
The construction of All Seasons Park, built by local developer Belleview Group, involved the redevelopment of Taman Cemerlang, a residential project that had been left abandoned for more than a decade.[2][5] The 20-acre (81,000 m2) redevelopment project was granted approval by the state authorities in 2009.[2][3] All Seasons Place, the retail podium of All Seasons Park, was opened to public in 2012.[1]
Retail outlets[edit]
Hero Market, a Malaysian retail chain, is the main anchor tenant of All Seasons Place.[5] Launched in 2018 in a ceremony attended by the state's Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow,[6][7] the supermarket currently operates alongside various lifestyle, food and beverages (F&B), and hardware outlets such as MR.DIY, Burger King, Guardian and Texas Chicken.[3][8] In addition, a flea market opens within the mall every weekend, offering apparel at discounted prices.[9]
Location[edit]
All Seasons Place is sited at Lebuhraya Thean Teik, a major road within the neighbourhood of Farlim.[10] Rapid Penang route 13, which serves Paya Terubong, Farlim, Batu Lanchang and Jelutong, passes in front of the mall.[11]
