Alpha is an American online dating app specifically designed to provide a dating environment to the LGBTQ+ community. It was launched in 2021 by Sean Rad Alpha is headquartered in Los Angeles,[1] and runs on iOS[2] and Android.[3]

Alpha was launched in 2021 by Tinder and was founded by Sean Rad.
Features
Alpha aims to give users a secure and private experience, a friendly and diverse community, and more features and filters than other gay dating apps, ensuring no one from the LGBTQ+ community is left behind or mistreated.[4] In 2021, it became the first dating app to add a community for PrEP users. The same year they launched Alpha Version 2, which included new communities, relationship types, sex preferences, and safety practices as well as a video chat option.[5]
