American States Utility Services Inc. (ASUS) founded in 1998, located in Fredericksburg Virginia, is a wholly owned subsidiary of American States Water Company, Inc. (AWR) operating in the United States.[1]Established in 1929, American Water Company, Inc. expanded through owned subsidiaries, including American States Utility Services, Inc. (ASUS). ASUS is an investor owned utility company and owns and operates privatization contracts of water and wastewater utilities on multiple military installations across the nation. [2] ASUS currently holds eight Utility Privatization Contracts that cover the following twelve U.S. military installations, including Fort Riley, Kansas as of September 2017. [3]

American States Water Company, Inc. has eight subsidiary companies that are locally managed and operated in the designated locations. These include: Emerald Cost Utility Services, Inc. located in Eglin, Florida, Fort Bliss Water Service Company, located in El Paso, Texas, Old North Utility Services, Inc. located in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Old Dominion Utility Service, Inc. located in Fort Eustis, Virginia, Palmetto State Utility Services, Inc. located in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, Terrapin Utility Services, Inc. located in AFB, Maryland, Fort Riley Utility Services, Inc. located in Fort Riley, Kansas, and lastly our own subsidiary American States Utility Services, Inc., operating in multiple locations. Each of these subsidiaries are in the Water and Waste Water division.
