Amina Yahya Karime (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.; born 20 December 2005) is a Lebanese footballer who plays as a defender for Lebanese club Jounieh and the Lebanon national team.

Early life

Born in Accra, Ghana,[1] Karime is originally from Tripoli, Lebanon.[2]

Club career

Karime was a youth product of Akhaa Ahli Aley.[2] She played for BFA[3] and Jounieh[4] in the Lebanese Women's Football League.[1]

International career

Karime represented Lebanon internationally at various youth levels. With Lebanon U15, she lifted the 2019 WAFF U-15 Girls Championship title as the tournament's best player.[2] Karime also helped Lebanon U18 lift the 2022 WAFF U-18 Girls Championship title, scoring twice against Syria in the final which Lebanon won 5–1.[5]

On 12 August 2022, Karime made her senior debut for Lebanon in a 1–1 friendly draw against Syria.[6] She took part in the 2022 WAFF Women's Championship,[7] in which Lebanon finished runners-up.[8] She was called up to the 2024 WAFF Women's Championship.[9]
