Macedonian anarchism in the 20th century[edit]
Anarchism in North Macedonia dates back to the times of Ottoman Occupation, there were many anarchists in the Internal Macedonian Revolutionary Organization.
A very well known Macedonian anarchist group were the Assassins of Salonica.
Macedonian anarchism in modern North Macedonia[edit]
Anarchism in North Macedonia is very unpopular due to nationalist and statist sentiment, and is usually only displayed in graffiti and rarely in protest.
Anarchism is usually researched and accepted only by the younger generations, the older generation tends to believe that anarchism is related to nazism due to anarchist graffiti usually having swastikas near it.
There are no known anarchist organizations in North Macedonia as of 2021.
