Tikkavarapu Anjana Reddy (born March 15, 1988) is an Indian businesswoman from Hyderabad, India.[1][2][3][4]

Early life and education[edit]

Anjana Reddy was born on 15 March 1988 in Hyderabad, India to Shanthi Reddy, a businesswoman and T Vinayak Ravi Reddy, Managing Director of Deccan Chronicle. The eldest child, she was an aspiring badminton player. Forced to quit badminton after burnout, she focused on academics.[5][6] She obtained a bachelor's degree in accountancy from Purdue University, and a master's in corporate finance and asset management from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2011, Anjana completed her post-graduation from the University of Illinois.[7][8]

Career[edit]

In 2011, Anjana founded a company called Collectabillia, an online portal in India that sells and auctions memorabilia of sporting stars.

In April 2012, Anjana founded Universal Sportsbiz Private Limited (USPL) in partnership with cricketer Sachin Tendulkar,[9] who invested 2.7 million dollars in the company.[10][11] In 2012, Accel partners invested Rs. 17.25 crore. In 2014, she signed Lionel Messi for Collectabillia.[12] In 2014, Anjana Reddy's Universal Sportsbiz (USPL), launched WROGN – a youth fashion and lifestyle brand. The Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli is the face of the brand and also co-owns the brand.[13]

In 2015, Anjana collaborated with Shraddha Kapoor and launched Imara, a women's ethnic wear apparel brand. In 2018, Jacqueline Fernandez became the brand face of Imara.[14]

In 2016, Anjana launched Ms. Taken in collaboration with Kriti Sanon. Ms. Taken is a women's western wear brand.[15]

In 2018, Accel Partners invests $13.5 million in USPL. In 2019, Anjana partnered with Aditya Roy Kapoor[16] and launched men's fashion brand SINGLE.[17][18][19][20]
