Anthony LaPine is a business executive best known for his innovation of modern disk drive technologies.[1][2]
Career[edit]
LaPine started his career at IBM as a member of the Advanced Technology team that development of the modern disk drive.[3] Then, he was one of the founders of Memorex[4] in 1969 before moving on to serve as president of Irwin-Olivetti in 1981.
In 1983, he formed LaPine Technology,[5] which produced the laptop disk drive technology used today.[6][7]
After the sale of LaPine Technology, he formed The LaPine Group, a private investment and management consulting firm. In 1996, he launched Datalink Corporation[8][9][10][verification needed] which later changed its name to Semotus Solutions and, in 2008, merged with Flint Telecom forming The Flint Telecom Group, a VOIP seller.
