Anthony Phillips is an American politician who represents the 9th Councilmanic District on the Philadelphia City Council since 2022. [1]
Career[edit]
Phillips served as the executive director of Youth Action since 2010. Cherelle Parker asked him to be a committee person on the City Democratic Ward Committee. When Parker resigned to run for mayor, She nominated Phillips, who received backing from the rest of the 9th District Wards. He won the general election on November 8, 2022, over Republican Roslyn Ross and Libertarian Yusuf Jackson. He represents various parts of Northwest Philadelphia including his home of Mount Airy on the Council [2][3][4]
