History[edit]

The Foundation began in Mangaluru by Abdullah A Rehman. Indian cities are posing serious health risk to the residents especially the children because of the high levels of hydrocarbons, particulate matter, CO, CO2, SO2 and NO2. Despite the massive health impact in Mangaluru and no adequate government measures addressing the problem, a youth led movement came up in India in 2014 called the Anti Pollution Drive.[3][4][5] The drive focussed against air pollution caused by smoke emitting vehicles and promote a safe and clean environment for healthy living. On 2nd October 2014, the drive was registered as a trust for public service and welfare.

Mission[edit]

To work towards mitigating air pollution and facilitate sanitation and improvement of the environment, public health and economy of Indian cities.
