Anwesha Yojana[edit]

It is a state flagship scheme of Odisha government for SC and ST students for providing quality education and opportunity,improving the standard of living by assisting them financially,bringing basic needs and facilitate free education to eligible students.The scheme covers 70 and 30 percent of ST & SC students respectively with each category there will be 50% reservation for girl students,[1] The schools were enrolled and nominated by District level committee based on essential measures such as acknowledgement of the School,Standard Infrastructure,availability of Certified faculties,Academic performance etc[2] Students will be selected by means of lottery drawn by a committe chaired by district collectors of the state, 5000 SC & ST children will annually enrolled in standard I of the leading private school of the urban area and further the scheme aims to enroll 50,000 SC & ST in phases, the scheme will be implemented in 17 districts of Odisha viz. Bargarh,Angul,Bolangir,kalahandi,sundergarh,Sambalpur,Nuapada,Nowrangpur,Gajapati,Ganjam,Malkangiri,Koraput,Keonjhar,Kandhamal,Rayagada,Mayurbhanj,Deogarh[3] The education fees,accommodation expenses,Stationary uniform ,books as well as transportation and other miscellaneous of The state government will borne all expenses of Sc & St students from class 1 to 12th in private schools.[3].under the scheme Separate hostel will be constructed, over 3.5 lakhs students staying in hostels.Each student will be provided with financial assistance of 25,000 school fees annually excluding hostel expenses & scholarship,separate hostels for SC & ST with counsellor to help students. in self studies.[4],in 2015-16 2684 students were enrolled,
