ARCA Defense (Turkish: ARCA Savunma) is a Turkish defense manufacturer specializing in artillery ammunition, mortar systems, and rocket production. The company operates integrated ammunition production facilities in Sungurlu, Çorum, and became one of the fastest-growing Turkish defense exporters during the 2020s.

The company manufactures NATO-compatible artillery ammunition including 155 mm, 152 mm, and 122 mm systems, as well as mortar ammunition and rockets.[1]

History

ARCA Defense was founded in 2020 in Turkey. The company established an integrated ammunition manufacturing complex in Sungurlu, Çorum, covering approximately 960 acres.[1]

During the mid-2020s, the company expanded its export activities and emerged as one of Turkey's largest ammunition exporters.[2]

Products

ARCA Defense produces a range of conventional ammunition systems including:

  • 155 mm artillery ammunition
  • 152 mm artillery ammunition
  • 122 mm rockets
  • 120 mm mortar ammunition
  • 81 mm mortar ammunition
  • 60 mm mortar ammunition

The company states that its production model is fully integrated, covering processes from raw material handling to final assembly.[3]

Estonia investment

In April 2026, ARCA Defense announced plans to establish a large-scale ammunition production facility in Estonia under the brand name ARCA Baltic.[2]

The factory is planned to be located in the Põhja-Kiviõli defense industrial zone in Ida-Virumaa and is expected to begin production in 2028. The project was reported to involve an investment of approximately €300 million.[3]

According to Estonian and Turkish sources, the facility will manufacture 155 mm artillery ammunition, mortar ammunition, and 122 mm rockets for European and NATO markets.[4]

The official signing ceremony for the production facility agreement between ARCA Defense and the Estonian Ministry of Defence took place during the SAHA 2026 defense exhibition in Istanbul, attended by Turkish Defense Minister Yaşar Güler and Estonian Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur.[5]

SAHA 2026 agreements

During the SAHA 2026 International Defense and Aerospace Exhibition, ARCA Defense signed multiple export agreements related to artillery ammunition and rocket systems.[6]

The agreements included contracts with Bulgarian defense company VTIC and United States-based GMP for artillery ammunition and 122 mm rocket systems.[7]
