Ashish Gurung is the co-founder of QuikPiq Media.[1] He was recently named one of Surrey's Top 25 under 25.[2] He is also on the Board of Directors for Kina Social Ventures.,[3] a non-profit helping girls in Nepal by providing educational opportunities.

QuikPiq Media[edit]

QuikPiq is a web and iPhone application that allows people to connect to friends and discover new products while they shop. The company was named one of the Top 5 Canada's Next Great Startups by the Impact Entrepreneurship Group.[4]

Education[edit]

He attended Simon Fraser University (SFU) from 2005–2010 and received a Bachelors of Business Administration. Entrepreneurship and Management & Technology concentrations. Minor in Interactive Arts and Technology.

Extra-curricular activity[edit]

Gurung was the 2008/2009 President of Students in Free Enterprise and received the ACE Dave Henderson Entrepreneurial Leadership Award.[5] He also served on the SFU Venture Connection Council of Partners from 2007 to 2009.[6] He has volunteered his time to help businesses, youth, high schools and at-risk youth.[7][8][9][10][11]
