Asif Bhamla

Asif Bhamla is an Indian politician, philanthropist, general secretary and spokesperson of the Nationalist Congress Party.

Political career[edit]

He started off as being nominated as a class representative in the first year junior college in MMK college and later contested in college elections where he looked at the capability and competence to address issues of the students at the age of 19. He was then approached by the congress to join the National students union of India which lead to the nomination for the district president of the north west Mumbai NSUI serving and addressing issues of students.[1]

Ahead of the 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He had contested 2014 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election in Maharashtra on Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) ticket.[2]
