Azubuike Wokocha Ekuku also known by his stage names Zubillionaire and Zubi Da Gr8est is a Nigerian rapper, singer, radio personality and music producer. He began his broadcasting career with Silverbird Rhythm 93.7 PHC in 2009 and has since anchored several shows on the station. [2] In 2011, PHCityMusic named him as one of Port Harcourt's widely respected good music head and radio presenter.[3]

Radio career[edit]

Wokocha first got into the radio business after he followed up his friend Y.O.P's advice to attend auditions. He auditioned as a radio host and was later hired to work at Rhythm 93.7 in Port Harcourt. He described his first moment on air as jumpy stating, "my first time on air I was nervous, Valentine Ohu and Naomi were co-hosting a Sunday On The Rhythm show, I joined them and didn't say anything but, this is Rhythm 93.7". Shows he has handled on air include Morning Drive, #TGIF Charts, Afternoon Drive, Dance Party, Shout-out Show, Sunday At The Rhythm. Wokocha has interviewed prominent Nigerian personalities such as 2face Idibia, Kate Henshaw, Emeka Ike, Modenine, and Judith Amaechi, among others.[1][4]

Music career[edit]

Wokocha records and performs music under the [stage name]]s Zubi Da Gr8est and Zubillionaire. He first made a foray into the music business as a music producer. He is a co-owner of the Billionaires Gang Management Group and holds a New York Film Academy diploma in digital editing and has been behind most successful hits including the single "Malaria" by Soty that was released in the mid 2000s.[5] He also won the "Best Music Producer" in the first edition of Odudu Music Awards.[6][7][8] On October 31, 2011, he released a 26 song compilation featuring various artists which aired on radio stations in the Southeast and South South part of Nigeria.[3] He also made a guest appearance on the track "Real Recognize Real" from the critically acclaimed I'm on Fire by Slim Burna.[9][10] In May 2013, Zubillionaire released his collaborative mixtape FAQ with Reaper featuring a guest appearance from fellow Port Harcourt based radio personality and rapper Spaceman.[11] He shot the music video for the single "Murder Dem" which was released in September 2013.[1][7]
