Benard Emuobosa Ichide known professionally as B.I Benard or Coach B.I (born 20 June, 1994) is a Nigerian comedian, entertainer and content creator.[1][2] In 2022, he signed a management deal with Nigerian entertainment company, "Undaground Media".[3]
Biography[edit]
Benard Emuobosa Ichide was born on 20 June, 1994 in Ughelli, Delta State. He is a native of Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State.
He completed his primary education at Solid Rock Nursery and Primary School, Ughelli and acquired his secondary education from Government College, Ughelli. In 2015, he graduated from Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro with a Degree in Computer Science.[4]
Career[edit]
At a young age, Benard took interest in entertaining people through comic drama and talks.[5] However, he officially started his career in 2015 after graduating from Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro now known as Delta State University of Science and Technology. As this point, he decided to pursue his interest in entertainment and comedy.
Benard first started as a show organizer and held his first live concert in Delta State tagged “Wake up UGH” featuring Gordons, Solid Star and Lil Kesh.[6]
In 2017, he relocated to Lagos fully and established his record label with the name “B.I Concepts Entertainment". That same year, he signed two artists to his record label. Eventually, the record label was closed the next year due to financial difficulties. In 2020, he decided to give content creation a try and released his first skit on 25 December, 2020.[7] In March 2022, he signed a management deal with Nigerian entertainment company, "Undaground Media".[3]
