BASCO Othukkungal is an Indian professional football club based in Othukkungal neighbourhood of Malappuram, Kerala. It is one of the oldest functioning clubs in Kerala. They compete in Kerala Premier League,[1] and were also nominated for the I-League Second Division.[2]
History
BASCO played in the inaugural season (2015) of the short-lived Malabar Premier League under the franchise name BASCO Blasters. BASCO managed to reach the semi-finals of their first season (2020–21) of Kerala Premier League. They lost to KSEB in penalties after a 3–3 draw in regular time.[3] In July, the club was nominated for 2021–22 I-League 2nd division by Kerala Football Association.[2][4]
