BASCO Othukkungal is an Indian professional football club based in Othukkungal, a neighbourhood of Malappuram, Kerala. It is one of the oldest functioning clubs in Kerala. They compete in the Kerala Premier League,[1][2][3] and were also nominated for the I-League Second Division.[4]
History
BASCO played in the inaugural season (2015) of the short-lived Malabar Premier League under the franchise name BASCO Blasters. BASCO managed to reach the semi-finals of their first season (2020–21) of the Kerala Premier League. They lost to KSEB in penalties after a 3–3 draw in regular time.[5] In July, the club was nominated for the 2021–22 I-League 2nd division by the Kerala Football Association.
