Search BL00D.exe on Amazon.BL00D.exe is an upcoming first-person shooter game developed by IMIGE LLC. It is planned to be released in 2023/2024. Inspired by the likes of Doom Eternal, and Titanfall 2, the game promises to be a "Cyberpunk Themed Movement/Boomer Shooter".

The game is planned to have a single-player campaign, and a horde mode inspired by Call Of Duty's Zombies game mode.

Gameplay[edit]

While little gameplay has been shown, the gameplay that has been displayed on Aidan's YouTube channel shows high octane, quick movement, first person shooter mechanics. The game features sprinting, sliding, and wall-running, as well as a grapple hook. All the movement mechanics can be chained together to allow the player to reach very high speeds, making them harder to hit. The game is heavily inspired by Doom, and other retro shooters where the player can hold more than the conventional 2 weapons that modern first-person shooters restrict them to.

Development[edit]

Main developer, Aidan Streeter, announced the game with a YouTube video on July 24, 2022. He continued to upload devlogs on his YouTube channel that showcased the game and its progress in development. Originally, the game was meant to be a Game Jam Game for GMTK's Game Jam, but it turned into a full game after Aidan missed the deadline.

The game is developed on Unreal Engine 4 (specifically 4.26.2). It uses both Blueprint and C++. Aidan was inspired by the likes of Titanfall 2, Doom Eternal, and Call Of Duty Zombies. BL00D.exe was not originally intended to have a single player campaign, and instead, would be exclusively a horde mode game. Aidan later announced a campaign would indeed be in the game.

For the art style of the game, it aims to closely emulate the visual styling of the PS1. It follows a dark neo-noir, cyberpunk styling.

Music[edit]

The only known music for the game is a piece composed by Aidan Streeter and Andrew Burke that features in one of the YouTube videos on Aidan's channel[1]
