Bajingan is a swear word considered impolite in both Javanese and Indonesian. However, in close company, it is generally considered a joke with no harsh meaning.

Outside of the pejorative meaning, Bajingan is cow wagon or ox cart driver in Java Island, a respected profession in the traditional culture of transportation history.
In present-day Indonesia, several Bajingan festivals in diverse locations include them and their ox wagons.
