"BeEF" - Browser Exploitation Framework [1] is a software used to deploy and manage malware in web-browsers. It commonly by hackers, penetration testers, and network security specialists to hijack web-browsers, however the project site states that "This project is developed solely for lawful research and penetration testing." [2] A user with a malicious intent can use BeEF to monitor activity within a victim's web-browser, deliver fake web-pages to the victim, and steal their passwords.
