Belfrics is a Bitcoin exchange company, headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Belfrics operates a global digital asset exchange in Singapore and other countries which according to the company’s mode of operation, allows for swapping as well as trading of digital currencies with fiat currency. In addition to Malaysia, the company also has offices in other regions including China, Indonesia, Kenya, Dubai, India and Hong Kong.[1]

Praveen Kumar is the Chairman and CEO of Belfrics. Belfrics launched an India-Bitcoin exchange to allow individuals to buy and sell Bitcoins with the local currency in India.[2][3][4] Such development according to the company was in line with the demonetization effort embarked upon by the government, it came at a time the Indian government is working hard to make India a digital based cashless economy.[5][6][7] The company is working out modalities to coming with a new blockchain with the name “Belrium,” with the abbreviation, BEL.[8]
