DEXEOS (DEX-EOS) is short for the term meaning a 'decentralized exchange on the EOS.IO blockchain'. Furthermore, this decentralized exchange is a peer-to-peer exchange for cryptocurrencies via smart contract transactions, built on the EOS.IO blockchain.[1][2][3][4][5][6] DEXEOS was the first decentralized exchange to be released on the EOS mainnet. It is an exchange which is accessed by users with an EOS account, who simultaneously hold EOS cryptocurrency. The founding members of DEXEOS are from Sweden, Korea, China, USA and Norway.

Currently, Korean, English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese are supported on the website of the exchange.[7]

History[edit]

DEXEOS was launched on August 1st, 2018[8][9][10], and it became the first token exchange based on the EOS blockchain.[1][11]

In October 2018, the EOS Dapp Festa in Seoul, South Korea hosted DEXEOS to speak at the Shilla Hotel conference hall.[12][13]

During January 2019, CarbonUSD partnered with DEXEOS[14]. Shortly after, CarbonUSD stablecoin (CUSD) was listed on the exchange[15].

In March 2019, DEXEOS also joined into a partnership with Unlimited Tower.[16]

Supported Currencies[edit]

DEXEOS has listed over 50 EOS-based tokens since its launch. [4][17][18][19][20][21][22] The EOS cryptocurrency is a base pair for P2P token trading;[2][23][24][25] however, CUSD is also a base cryptocurrency pair offered on the exchange.
