Ben Butler is a British designer for Red Bull Racing, the Formula One team.
Career[edit]
Ben Butler studied for six years through design practice for Lotus Engineering. In 1998 he started working in the transmission, hydraulics and chassis systems business for Stewart Grand Prix when the team was acquired by Jaguar Racing his main job was in the mechanical systems division. In 2005, the team was acquired by Red Bull Racing, then Butler became the designer linking the design department with the team on the race track. Red Bull Racing converted Minardi to Scuderia Toro Rosso and Butler was transferred to the Italian team and was heavily involved in the setup. From then until September 2009, he was head of the assembly team until he moved to the team's base, Feanza, Italy, where he became chief designer. Since 2012, he has been a designer at Red Bull Racing, in the Red Bull Technology department in Milton Keynes, UK.[1][2]
