Benji Travis born on March 27, 1984 as Benjamin Travis in Yokosuka, Japan on a Navy Base. He is a YouTuber, business developer, public speaker and philanthropist.[1][2] In 2014 Travis co-launched Video Influencers with Sean Cannell.[3] In 2016 it was featured in Forbes as #3 of a list featuring the top 20 business channels on Youtube.[4]

Career[edit]

After living in cities all over the Pacific due to his family being stationed at Navy bases, Benji Travis has made his home in Seattle, Washington since 1995. After High School Benji pursued business in real estate amidst the economic crash of 2008. Benji was able to turn his business around from selling less than 10 properties in a year to over 100 due to his efforts on Youtube with his Real Estate channel “HomeDealzTV”.[1] He had lots of help from his brother Julian in this endeavor.

Since 2012 he has left the real estate business to his brother Julian Travis and focused all his efforts into ventures within Youtube and online video.[5] Since 2009 he has managed the business behind online brands of his wife Judy Travis “itsJudytime” & “itsJudyslife” that have collectively have accrued over 1 billion video views online.[1][6] In addition to building a business on Youtube and social media, he also is a YouTuber as a Daily Vlogger on “itsjudyslife” and food enthuthiast on “Benji ManTV, ” a YouTube channel in which he shows his passion in cooking and pursues healthy living with Judy and his kids. ItsJudytime, ItsJudysLife, & ItsMommysLife[edit]

In 2008 Judy Travis started sharing her makeup videos on Youtube as a beauty enthuthiast and quickly grew her influence to be able to make it into a full time venture.[6] Travis who was initially dating Judy Travis helped her turn that into a business.[1] To date itsjudytime and itsjudyslife have over 1 million subscribers on youtube and the brand has over 2 million followers on Facebook. With over 1 billion videos views to date Benji Travis has helped his now wife to work with some of the biggest fortune 500 brands and become one of the most respected Mom Influencers online.[9][8] The Two Channels are part of Youtubes top 1% of an exclusive group called the Youtube Preferred list.[10]

Philanthropy[edit]

In 2011 Benji Travis started an event called Dancember with his wife Judy Travis.[11][12] Dancember is an annual fundraiser where they dance for donations in December to raise awareness and funds for causes and/or charities during a 24 Hour Live Broadcast.[13][14] Their first year they raised $5,000 and surpassed their initial goal of 3k raising funds for “homeless youth” in collaboration with Virgin Mobile.[15] Since then the couple has raised over 1 million dollars for charities such as the YMCA, March of Dimes, Rescue Freedom, and Convoy of Hope.[12][10] In addition to the money they have been able to hit milestones for awareness such as trending on twitter and getting over 1.5 million views on their broadcast in a 24 hour period.[11][16] Dancember continues to happen every year and now is supporting Convoy of Hope through their feeding initiative “Feed One”.[12][17]
