Besnik Sulaj is one of the top 10 most known and rich businessmen in Albania.[1] [2]. He is the owner of some of the most important companies in the country. Over the years he has invested in businesses like electricity, construction, and tourism[3]. He is born on 26 January 1969 in Rrethi i Mallakastrës city. Besnik started his career as an industrialist on early ‘90s, right after the fall of the Communist Regime. He was the president of FK Dinamo Tirana for 10 years straight since 2001. Under his management, FK Dinamo Tirana was crowned 3 times champion[4].
Biography[edit]
Besnik Sulaj is born on 26 January 1969 in Mallakastër District city. He started his career as an industrialist in the early ‘90s on hydrocarbon trade. In the passing years, Besnik became one of the biggest investors in the electricity and construction industry. Sulaj since the late ‘90s is living in Tirana with his wife and 2 children.
Investment[edit]
Taiwan ltd[edit]
In 2000 Besnik Sulaj builds Taiwan residence, a big and important investment in the business line such as bars, restaurants, and hotels. Located in the heart of Tirana with a cover area of 10 thousand sq. meters, Taiwan residence is all made of several restaurants, luxury bars and entertainment environments such as billiards, videogames, bowling etc.
Regency International Casino Tirana[edit]
In 2005, Sulaj in a partnership with Thanasis Laskaridis granted the license of the legal use of casino on an international contest and this way he opened the first casino named “Regency Casino International” This business is now active and operates in Tirana in a gambling session.
Aquadrom Tirana[edit]
In May 2007, Besnik Sulaj invests on another business, becoming this way the owner of Aquadrom Tirana. Residence Aquadrom Tirana is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Tirana, near Artificial Lake. Covering a green area of 40 thousand sq meters are all in great harmony with nature nearby, built 6 pools, 4 restaurants, 3 bars, 5 football fields, children entertainment area and at least but not last an Irish Pub and Restaurant, the latest one in Tirana.
Delvina Gas[edit]
Besnik Sulaj is the president of Delvina Gas company. This company was bought in February 2016 from the billionaire from Texas Malone Mitchel. Delvina Gas is a leader in the extraction and production of natural gas with exclusive rights to operate in Southeast Europe.
Tirana Parking[edit]
In May 2016 Taiwan ltd company grant the concession from Municipality of Tirana to build underground parking with a capacity of 1500 parking places. Tirana Parking, a futuristic project, intends to help the car drivers by creating more parking spaces in Tirana.
FK Dinamo[edit]
Besnik Sulaj has been the president of FK Dinamo Tirana [5] for 10 years in a row. During his management, this football club has met continuously glory and success, also during this decade, FK Dinamo Tirana has won 3 times the championship [6]. In 2009 Sulaj makes another serious investment in the football club, hiring the Croatian coach Zlatco Dalic knowing as one of the best coaches in the world. Dalic has led Croatia national team against France in the finals of the World Cup in 2018 [7]
