Bet Your Bottom Dollar is an upcoming independent British drama film, written and directed by Brandon Ashplant. It stars Cameron Ashplant, Paterson Joseph and Marc Duret.[1][2]
Plot
Jack (Cameron Ashplant), a young British man travelling in Southern France, finds himself indebted to the French betting firm Parier24. The journey of self-discovery that he embarks on proves to be life changing.[3][4]
Cast
- Cameron Ashplant as Jack, a young gambling addict from Bolton.
- Paterson Joseph as Victor, an employee at Parier24 (voice role).
- Marc Duret as François, Victor's colleague at Parier24 (voice role).
- Dave Hyett as Benoît, a hotel porter.
Production
Bet Your Bottom Dollar is written, produced and directed by filmmaker Brandon Ashplant. The short film marks Ashplant's narrative debut.
Production began in June 2022, with Cameron Ashplant attached to star onscreen, following wrapping production on the psychological thriller film Marooned Awakening.[5][6] Marc Duret and Paterson Joseph were later confirmed in voice roles, as François and Victor respectively.[7]
Independent film company Golden Goat Films is producing, with support from Guernsey Arts.[8][9][10]
The project is currently in post-production.[11]
Release
Bet Your Bottom Dollar is slated for release in 2023.[12][13]
