Bhale Sultan History & History Behind their Name

The Bhale Sultans are a branch of the Bais Kshatriyas that separated from the Bais Kshatriya branch of Vaiswada in the 13th century. Since then, the Bhale Sultans have followed their ancestors’ example, placing their ideals above all else and sacrificing their lives to protect the destitute, women, Brahmins, and the nation’s identity. This branch of the Vaish Kshatriyas is known by the title of Bhale Sultans. The incident of being honored is also a testament to his bravery. When Rai Vidar, the eldest son of Vais clan’s Amberai Vidardev, arrived in Delhi with his entire army after conquering Amethi and Sathini, the court of Delhi Sultan Mahmud Nasiruddin Tughlaq was in session. A cloth sheet was spread over an iron sheet. Brave Kshatriyas from various kingdoms were seated there. Rai Vidar also arrived at the Sultan’s court with his army. At that very moment, Emperor Tughlaq ordered the spear to be planted in the ground. Rai Vidar, son of Amberai Vidardev, thrust his spear into the ground while chanting "Har Har Mahadev." Pleased with his valor, Sultan Mahmud Nasiruddin Tughlaq bestowed upon him the title of "Bale Sultan," and from then on (1412 AD), this branch of Kshatriyas became historically renowned as the "Bhale Sultans."
