Big Court

Courtney Richardson II (Big Court) is a multi-talented radio personality/actor/film producer/former rap artist from Kansas City, that gained nationwide recognition being signed to music mogul Master P's No Limit Records and recording under the rap moniker "Court Dog" earning a RIAA certified gold plaque for his work on Master P's "Down South Hustlers" compilation. Big Court relocated to Los Angeles to pursue acting and producing. Since arriving, he has appeared in several films which included, "The Painting", (Starring Stacey Dash), Shattered Day, Love On The Rocks, Don't Touch If You Ain't Prayed (starring Ce Ce Penniston), and starring in the comedy Rib Shack which won the Global Arts Film Festival, Palm Beach International Film Festival, Independent Black Film Festival, and the Convention Film Festival in Los Angeles[1]

For the last 20 years, No Limit fans recognized Big court to be the big muscular menancing figure that is often seen watching Master P's back. Big Court is a tv/film producer who has starred in movies alongside comedian Katt Williams, as well as co starring alongside the late Tiny "Deebo" Lister in "I Got The Hook Up 2"[2]

Career[edit]

Big Court [begin to make films] and solely funded his own full length feature film titled "Young American Gangstas" which he co-wrote, produced, scored, and starred in. Y.A.G also stars Lawrence Hilton Jacobs and the late Tupac Shakurs brother Mopreme Shakur. Big Court also produced the movies soundtrack which featured music from him as well as some of the rap industry's most notable artist. [1]

In early 2016, Big Court began co-hosting radio/tv shows "Doin Tha Most", produced by Master P on Playboy Radio. Big Court [built] successful businesses outside of entertainment. Widely known as a avid body building enthusiasts, he ventured into the supplement industry to launch 'Tru Muscle Sports', specializing in high quality protein powders, pre-workout, and fat burners. Big Court [found] his lane in the podcast world as a Podcaster/Content Creator. His 'Holdin' Court' Podcast is broadcasted on YouTube,Tubi TV, Spotify, and all streaming platforms. [3] Joined by Ken Schoech "Producer Ken" an industry executive and his partner in crime for more than 20 years, they Hold Court over the current state of entertainment in the industry. Big Court got his first experience doing radio with his mentor Master P as co-host of Doin The Most on Playboy Radio. It was Master P that noticed Big Court's knack for insightful conversation and encouraged him to create a Podcast. [4]

The Holdin’ Court Podcast have been joined by celebrity guest such as Ice T, J. Prince, Michael Jai White, Sticky Fingaz, Jazsmin Lewis, Lil Eazy E, X Raided, Flesh-N-Bone, Bizzy Bone, Boskoe100, Breon Ansley, and Silkk the Shocker to name few. Of course Master P joins his comrade on the show and his episode [aired] August 21st 2021 on Spotify and all streaming platforms and YouTube.[2] “Holdin’ Court Podcast” currently boasts an average of 40,000 to 50,000 downloads a month and 40,000 subscribers [5]

Big Court is also the Vice President of Digital Soapbox Network (DSN) alongside Director of Operations Norman “Bigg” Steele, the former President of urban A&R for “Minder Music Publishing, The Digital Soapbox Network (DSN) is a producer and distributor of digital audio and video content. Formed in 2017, their mission is to provide the very best in on-demand digital content. The Digital Soapbox Network’s shows are hosted by some of entertainment’s most known celebrities, journalist and influencers. In addition to audio podcasts, “DSN” also distributes the visual versions of these shows, as well as original visual content to television through a strategic alliance with several streaming television platforms.
