Bill Kouns
Bill Kouns also known as Dr William C. Kouns is an American scientist and business executive who co-founded Jewelry Television (JTV) in 1993.[1]
Biography
Kouns attended the University of Memphis, he was a graduate of the UT Health Science Center.[2][3] After completing his doctorate degree in Biochemistry, he moved to Switzerland and joined F. Hoffman-LaRoche as a researcher. He has also participated in boxing competitions as a boxer.[4][5]
During his scientific career as a graduate student and staff scientist at Roche, Kouns authored or co-authored papers and abstracts.[6][7]
In 1993, Kouns co-founded JTV as America's Collectibles Network (ACN) along with Jerry Sisk Jr. and Bob Hall.[8] ACN was renamed JTV in 2004.[9]
In 2005, he became the president of JTV.[10][11] Previously, he was serving as the chief operating officer.[10][12] Kouns is the current chief merchandising officer of JTV.[13]
Kouns was on the board of Goodwill Foundation of Knoxville.[14]
Kouns recently founded Live Longer Be Happy, a company dedicated to slowing biological aging and increasing happiness based on new neurological studies of brain neurotransmitters.[15]
