    Background

Bioscope+ is the successor to the original Bioscope platform, which was launched by Grameenphone in 2016 as an OTT service featuring live TV, dramas, and GP-exclusive content. Over time, as the OTT landscape in Bangladesh evolved, Grameenphone rebranded and relaunched the platform in 2025 under the name Bioscope+ with a broader and more integrated content experience.[2]

    Features

    Bioscope+ offers the following features:

    • Aggregates content from 11+ OTT platforms into a single interface[3]
    • Offers movies, series, documentaries, short films, and live television
    • Smart content discovery and personalized recommendations
    • Unified subscription and payment model
    • Available in both Bengali and English

    Launch

Bioscope+ was launched on 11 July 2025 as part of the Grameenphone One initiative—a digital suite aimed at integrating entertainment, connectivity, health, and cloud services under a single ecosystem.[4] The platform was introduced during a launch event attended by key figures in Bangladesh’s telecom and entertainment industries.

    Reception

At launch, Bioscope+ was noted for being the first comprehensive OTT aggregator in Bangladesh. Industry sources praised its potential to unify fragmented streaming experiences across multiple services.[5] Within weeks of launch, the app had over 500,000 beta users, according to Grameenphone’s Chief Product Officer, Solaiman Alam.[6]

    Partners

As of July 2025, partner platforms integrated into Bioscope+ include:

    • Chorki
    • Hoichoi
    • (Additional partner platforms to be added as officially confirmed)
