Björn Otto Alverich Tarras-Wahlberg (born 2 January 1943) is a Swedish director and Secretary General.[1]

Biography[edit]

Tarras-Wahlberg graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1970. He was the secretary of the right-wing office in the Riksdag between 1967 and 1968, Secretary of Parliament for Företagarförbundet between 1971 and 1973, employed at the Swedish Employers Association (SAF) as head of the unit Riksdags- och Kanslihuskontakt between 1974 and 1984, and during the period 1980–1984 as Deputy Director. He was the director at Ericsson and later CEO of the Swedish Taxpayers' Association as well as publisher of the magazine Sunt Förnuft between 1985 and 2000. He is the founder of the World Taxpayers Associations and was its General Secretary during the period 1988–2014. Since 2017, he is the CEO of Diplomathus Stockholm AB and chairman of the Foundation for the Urban Environment Association Blasieholmens Vänner. During the years as General Secretary for the World Taxpayers Associations, he lived in Switzerland between 2003 and 2016.

He is the son of Johan Wilhelm Klüver and Maud Tarras-Wahlberg as well as half-brother to Billy Klüver. He was married to Elisabeth Tarras-Wahlberg between 1974–2003 and has been married to Panchanok Tarras-Wahlberg since 2010.
