Black Insomnia Coffee Company Limited was founded in 2017 in South Africa by Sean Kristafor. The brand grew to prominence with it's claim as "The World's Strongest Coffee" with regards to it's extremely high caffeine content. Lab tested at 1105mg per 12oz of brewed coffee, Black Insomnia was the highest caffeine coffee on the market on it's release in 2017. Since it's inception, the companies headquarters has moved from South Africa, to Winchester, England after management was handed off by Kristafor due to health reasons. In 2019 Kristafor left the company, leaving CEO Jim Walker and COO Alexander Sacken in his place. Black Insomnia Coffee now has global distributors in South Africa, United Kingdom, United States, Czech Republic, Germany, Canada, The GCC Region and Australia.
