Black Tie Records INC. was founded in 2011 by American music executive David M. Greenberg. It is based in New York City. Launching as a grassroots operation, the label independently released music from 2011-2019. Finding moderate success with their 2018 release, Small Boss by Small Boss, the label began building up momentum. In 2020 the label established a global distribution agreement with Sony Music owned distributor The Orchard.[1]

The Black Tie Records roster includes acts such as American Rapper-Producer Small Boss, Producer Billy Childz, and Portuguese Producer-DJ's Slamtype[2], and Zinko.

Black Tie's first release after signing with The Orchard was a collaborative EP by Slamtype featuring Small Boss.

Besides releasing music, Black Tie offers services such as Artist Development, Publishing, and Synchronization Licensing. The label's other areas of business include Live Music Promotion, Music Content creation, and Sound Branding.
