PUCIT Blood Donor Society is an independent society, at Lahore Anarkali and working for the welfare of the people of Pakistan and discretely functional only in Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT)[1] with no affiliations to any political or non-political outside agendas.

PUCIT Blood Donor Society is non-profitable welfare society, working in PUCIT[2] to instantly arrange blood for the people in need. The purpose of this Society is to grow a community of blood donors that shall provide people who require blood donations with a platform they can always rely upon.[3]

Objectives[edit]

BDS [2] is a team of highly motivated PUCITIAN with the sole purpose of connecting needy patients with potential blood donors. One of their primary objectives is to keep and maintain a database of volunteering students who are willing to donate their blood when needed.

Their team tries best to spread awareness among students all across the campus and motivate new donors to register for blood donation every year.[3] For this purpose, an annual blood camp and seminar are held to appreciate top donors from previous years and encourage new ones to contribute in the future.

Award[edit]

In a conference hosted by Donate for Humanity Foundation, Pakistan, Punjab University College of Information Technology (PUCIT) Blood Donor Society (Old Campus) received an “Azmat-e-Insaniyat” award. The award was given based on the hard work and diligent effort put by every individual in this family for saving lives.
