BloodyHelp Is a worldwide network of blood donors, it uses geo localization technology and facilitates the search of volunteer blood donors on emergency situations. warrant not only that the contacted people are willing to donate and own the needed blood type but to be near of the petitioner [1].
How it works[edit]
The creators of the system believe that every one should be registered, whether those who are willing to donate or those that aren't willing or can't do it. This is because any one can need a blood transfusion sometime, it could be for medical procedures, accidents or other issues implicating blood loss.
Donors[edit]
A persons is considered as donor when it is willing to donate blood for free when someone near, needs a donation. The system requires those people to get registered [2] with a few data and blood type.
All registered donors should download the mobile app on a smart device that uses frequently and allow it to use geo localization. The app detects where the donor is located and inform to the central database.
Petitoners[edit]
The petitioner can be registered as donor and also ask for donations or only as "user only", The registering process is almost the same, the only difference is that the "user only" does not indicates blood type.
This one also needs to download the app, this because the donor search is done through it. This is an important thing, the app detects the petitioner's location and will recommend the nearer donors.
The donation process[edit]
When someone needs one or many blood units, it must open the mobile app, and select the needed blood type. The system, knowing the petitioner location, will search and recommend the nearer donors. The petitioner should select which of them send the petition and the app will send it an email to the donor. If the donor can donate in that moment, it should answer the email in order to agree the place and time to donate.
From when the petitioner and the donor are communicated, the rest of the process runs on their own.
Privacy[edit]
The system guarrants that it doesn't save any tracking data, It only has the last location update. in addition they are committed to sell the users data and to not send SPAM to ther emails.[3] [4]
