Boozt (Boozt Fashion AB) is a Nordic multi-brand online store founded in 2007 and headquartered in Malmö, Sweden. The company sells fashion, beauty, sportswear, and home products across several European markets. Boozt is publicly traded, with listings on Nasdaq Stockholm and Nasdaq Copenhagen.

History

Boozt was founded in 2007. The company assumed its current structure in 2011 with the launch of the Boozt.com website and the establishment of a multi-brand online clothing platform.[1][2] Early shareholders included the footwear manufacturer Ecco, the private equity firm Sunstone Capital, and the Norwegian investment fund Verdane.[3]

During its early years, Boozt experienced rapid growth. The company completed an initial public offering on Nasdaq Stockholm in 2017 and later carried out a secondary listing on Nasdaq Copenhagen in 2020.[2][4] In the same year, Boozt expanded its product range to include beauty and cosmetics, complementing its existing fashion-focused offering.[5] Over time, this expansion contributed to the company’s positioning as a multi-brand online department store rather than a fashion-only retailer.[6]

In 2023, Boozt blocked approximately 42,000 customer accounts due to what it described as excessive returns behaviour, citing negative impacts on profitability and the environment.[7] In 2024, the company reported that the number of blocked accounts had risen to nearly 60,000 as the policy continued to be enforced.[8]

Operations

Hermann Haraldsson, CEO and co-founder

Boozt operates as a multi-brand online department store in several European countries.[7][8] As of 2022, it was the largest e-commerce company in Sweden, with a turnover of 6.7 billion Swedish krona, approximately USD 600 million at 2022 exchange rates, and a net profit of SEK 186 million, approximately USD 18 million.[9][10]

The company’s corporate headquarters are located in Malmö, Sweden[11][12], and its primary warehouse and fulfilment operations are based in Ängelholm, also in Sweden.[13] It is an automated facility with 1,300 robots navigating 1.2 million storage compartments. The warehouse covers 88,000 square meters, employs 500 people, and handles over 10 million distinct items.[2]

Boozt has more than 1,200 employees.[7] Hermann Haraldsson has served as CEO since 2011, and Michael Bjergby has been CFO since 2025.[14] The typical Boozt customer is a woman aged 35–50 who shops for herself and other members of her family.[10]

The company has been a partner of the Stockholm School of Economics since 2023.[10][15]

Warehouse and logistics

Boozt Fulfilment Centre (Warehouse)

During the 2025 Black Friday trading period, Boozt achieved its highest recorded level of operational throughput. According to the Swedish e-commerce publication Ehandel, the fulfilment centre in Ängelholm packed approximately 215,000 items on Black Friday, setting a new single-day record for the site.[16]

In 2024, Boozt announced significant investment in expanding its logistics operations. Independent reporting stated that the company planned to invest SEK 500 million to increase capacity at the Ängelholm facility, with the goal of expanding total logistics capacity by up to 50 percent by 2027.[17][18] The expansion includes the construction of a new 25,000 m² warehouse hall intended to improve replenishment flows and support higher order volumes.[17][18]

The company has also secured adjacent land with the potential to add up to 140,000 m² of further logistics space.[18]

In 2025, Boozt extended its lease agreement for the logistics property in Ängelholm. The agreement includes an additional expansion of approximately 5,850 m², expected to be completed in 2026.[19]

Product range

Boozt Product Range

Boozt offers products across several major retail categories, including women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing, sportswear, beauty products, and home goods.[20]

In November 2025, Boozt launched "Boozt Giftshop", a business-to-business platform offering corporate gifting solutions in Denmark and Sweden. The initiative expands the company’s operations beyond consumer retail by enabling companies to purchase employee and client gifts through a dedicated online portal. Boozt described the launch as its third sales channel alongside Boozt.com and Booztlet.com, and estimated the combined Danish and Swedish corporate gift market at between SEK 8 billion and 10 billion.[21]

Headquarters relocation

Boozt HQ Copenhagen

In February 2025, Boozt announced that it would relocate its corporate headquarters from Malmö to Copenhagen. The company plans to move into the office building Krystallen on Kalvebod Brygge in central Copenhagen, with the relocation expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2026.[22][23]

The relocation is driven by access to a larger labour market and improved opportunities to attract international talent.[22][23] Boozt intends to retain significant operations in Malmö while placing group management in Denmark.[24] Nasdaq reported that the company sees Copenhagen as a strategic location for its continued expansion in Northern Europe.[25]
