Bound is operated by Bound Rates Limited and is headquartered in London, England. [1][2][3]
History
Bound was launched in 2020 by Seth Phillips and Daniel Kindler, who previously worked on software for professional risk managers and traders. [1] Bound Rates Limited was incorporated in November 2020 in England and Wales. [4]
In November 2021 the company announced a seed funding round of about US$6.5–7 million, led by venture-capital firms including Valar Ventures, Moonfire Ventures and Album VC, along with other fintech investors. [5][1]
According to the company, by 2024 its platform had processed more than US$1 billion in cumulative transaction volume. [6]
Products and services
Bound offers an online hedging platform and application programming interface (API) that allow businesses to convert currencies and manage foreign cash flows. [1] The service supports more than 35 deliverable currencies and enables customers to book spot conversions, deliverable and non-deliverable forwards, and various automated hedging programmes such as averaging and ranging strategies, as well as forward limit and stop orders. [1][7]
The platform includes tools for real‑time analytics of hedging performance, account statements and reporting, and integration via API with third‑party systems. [1] Bound markets fixed, transparent pricing for its hedging services. [2]
