Brand spitting

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Brand spitting is a lyrical convention in rap when rappers use names of product brands in their texts.[1][2] In hip-hop, brands are employed in lyrics, refrains, song titles and function as a rhetorical figure, filled with symbolic meaning, carrying emotional value and making the message meaningful and realistic.

The convention, originating from American hip-hop,[3][4] is duplicated across international hip-hop.
