Bref is an international brand for toilet cleaner products. It is a subsidiary of German company Henkel AG.[1] It is also known as WC Frisch, Blue Star, Sonasol, Witte Reus, Soft Scrub, General and DAC in many countries.[2]
History
In 1968, Henkel introduced the first toilet block to the German market, which is hung on the inside of the toilet. In 1975, the company expanded its product range, launching many different products such as toilet cleaner, cistern blocks, two-chamber toilet blocks, toilet gels and tablets. In 2002, Henkel launched Bref Duo Aktiv, the first liquid toilet block for toilet cleaner and fresh scent. Henkel introduced the Bref Power Aktiv toilet block in 2010, the Bref Blue Aktiv blue water balls in 2012, the Bref 6x Effective Power-Gel Toilet Cleaner range in 2013, the Bref Reservoir Cube Blocks in 2014, and the Bref Turquoise Aktiv series in 2017.
