Business Innovations Generator[1][2] is an equity-free incubation programme[3] offered by Singapore Management University Institute of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Housed within SMU Connexion, the Business Innovations Generator provides incubatees with 9-month access to the SMU Greenhouse and 4 months' mentorship program. It accepts founders with no SMU affiliation into the program. Although the program is industry-agnostic, there are no deep-tech startups within the program as the incubator does not have access to high-tech laboratories or scientific talent, given the lack of an engineering or medical school in Singapore Management University.
Founders who apply to the Business Innovations Generator are typically technology-based start-ups that have developed products or solutions related or catering to blockchain, fintech, sustainability, production of cell-based meats, cybersecurity, real estate and more. In aggregate, the Business Innovations Generator has incubated more than 355 startups that have collectively raised more than S$391 million.[4]
