Cameron Deshawn Giggetts (born April 14, 2002 in Kinston, North Carolina), better known by his stage name CamoGlizzy, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. He is lyrical and has a unique melodic flow and He is quickly generating a buzz around his music, especially in Texas.
Biography[edit]
At the age of 14 Camo Glizzy sparked interest in being a hip-hop artist mainly being inspired by “J.Cole”, “Lil Wayne'', “TLC'' & “Montell Jordan”, he uses a raw uncut voice with gritty lyrics over smooth melody’s to help define his unique sound.[1] Camo growing up always wanted to be an artist and wanted to take care of his family if he ever made it out. Growing up in North Carolina had rough patches but everyone was supporting Camo Glizzy but he felt that he had to move out in order to expand his music career. Moving to Texas helped him meet brand new opportunities and network with a lot more people than he did back in Kinston. Throughout his music career, he met many different musical styles that he never knew or heard about and appreciates all the new talent he meets every day while working in music. Camo Glizzy hopes to bring Kinston, North Carolina on the map and have a bigger name to it.
Career[edit]
With over 1.2 million plays on Soundcloud and approximately 5 million streams on Apple, Music Camo was able to expand his career on larger platforms. Camo’s hit single “Aladdin” ft MalyDuty & JTO A$tro which accumulated half a million streams helped him get booked for local shows with a local artist. Over time he was able to collab with Mak Sauce and Lil Baby which helped him gain more notoriety through the rap game. Opening up for Da Baby and Toosii at Apple Chill helped expand his career to a newer level and opened him to a lot more opportunities and performances.
Performance[edit]
Camo Glizzy performed with artists such as Mak Sauce, Xanman, Setitoff83 & many more local artists. He has opened for lots of artists which gain and promoted more fans to come to his personal shows and watch him perform.
Musical Style[edit]
Camo Glizzy musical style is unique so many local artists may have the same exact flow as him, but just can’t flow it how Camo does and that’s what make it unique. Camo’s musical style comes from the artist he was listening to while growing up using gritty lyrics on smooth melodic beats which makes him different.
