CannaBrands, Inc.

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

CannaBrands, Inc. is a publically traded, Florida-based company specializing in cannabis-related foods, drinks and other consumables.[1] Products include cannabis-related foods and drinks which are licensed to distributors.[2][3] The company does not sell or process marijuana. CannaBrands products can be sold in any state where marijuana or medical-marijuana is legal.[4][5]

Company History[edit]

In July 2014, Crownbutte Wind Power Inc. acquired Canna & Canna Inc., a small, Bothell, WA-based, marijuana branding and consumables company.[6] On September 23, 2014 the acquisition was ratified by shareholders, with the company now going under the name CannaBrands, Inc.[7] In early 2015, CannaBrands announced it had launched a line of cannabis-infused sodas, with the Green Cloud Collective in Lynden, WA receiving the initial shipment.[8] The cannabis collective, Top Shelf in Washington and Central Coast ReLeaf in Oregon soon followed.[9][10]

CannaBrands expanded into edibles, with the release of both Cowboy Caramel Corn and Happy Smores.[11][12] Cowboy Caramel Corn is a partnership with the Everett, WA collective "From the Heart," in an attempt to diversify the CannaBrands portfolio of products.[13]

A new website for the company was launched on April 15, 2015.[14]

The current CEO of CannaBrands is Mark Shaftlein, a veteran of Crownbutte Wind Power.[15] The vice president is Giselle Serrano, owner of the Southern California-based Serrano Home Investments, Inc.[16]

Distribution[edit]

CannaBrands is a marijuana-based business that does not sell products with marijuana.[17] When CannaBrands enters a relationship with a distributor, CannaBrands will grant them a license for use of the chosen products along with instructions, ingredients and labels.[18] The distributor's job is to assemble and infuse the product with medication (if it is a medical-marijuana product) and the marijuana.[19] CannaBrands provides support for the distributor in helping the company establish, but is not involved in providing marijuana or marijuana licenses.[20] As stated on their website, CannaBrands, "does NOT handle, process or sell marijuana products."[21]
