Caoimhin Agyarko Hynes is a professional boxer from Northern Ireland.

Early life[edit]

Caoimhin Agyarko was born on 29 November 1996 in Croydon, London to a Ghanaian father and an Irish mother. At the age of seven, Agyarko moved to Belfast, Northern Ireland. On 1 May 2017, Agyarko was attacked by a group of men in central Belfast. During the confrontation Agyarko was stabbed in the back of the neck, resulting in a wound which required over thirty stitches.[1][2]

Professional career[edit]

On 5 September 2018, it was announced that Agyarko had signed a contract to fight professionally with Queensbury Promotions where he would be promoted by Frank Warren.[3] Agyarko made his professional debut on 20 October 2018 against Ladislav Nemeth. Agyarko secured a comfortable points win after dominating throughout the bout.[4]

On 15 December 2018, Agyarko fought professionally for the second time against Yasin Hassani. Agyarko dropped his opponent twice en-route to a points victory.[5][6]On 27 April 2019, Agyarko fought against Martin Kabrhel. Agyarko won by knockout for the first time as a professional after he defeated his Czech opponent via technical knockout in the third round.[7][8]

On 21 June 2019, Agyarko fought in his hometown of Belfast for the first time as a professional against Paul Allison. Agyarko controlled the entirety of the bout and won via wide points decision after winning every round on the referees scorecard.[9]Agyarko’s fifth bout as a professional was against Nelson Altamirano on 14 September 2019. Agyarko won via technical knockout in the third round.[10][11]
