History[edit]

The platform was founded in 2015 by Ahmad A Najar[4], a tech entrepreneur. It was initially launched as a web application in Minnesota. United States.[5][6][7]

Expansion[edit]

After the success of the website in Minnesota, CatchFood was released for use in other parts of the United States. The mobile applications for both Google Playstore and Apple Store were also launched.[5][2][3] The platform was launched in Middle East countries, including Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq, in March 2020, as a response to COVID-19 outbreak.
