Cavalcade are a British four-piece rock band from London, UK. Formed in 2017, the band consists of Connor Duggan (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Tom Nunn (bass), Jack Campbell (lead guitar/vocals) and Steve Norris (drums/vocals).[1]

History[edit]

Cavalcade were officially formed in 2017 when life long friends Connor Duggan and original drummer Jack Lock gathered mutual friends Tom Nunn and Jack Campbell at a Studio in Dagenham, East London. The band gigged around London and were offered a slot at Camden Rocks Festival along side notable acts such as The Coral, Reverend and the Makers, Carl Barat and The Jackals, The Damned and The Rifles.[2] They released their self titled debut EP in the same year and played a headline show at The Garage, Islington.

Shortly after the debut EP the band disbanded and reformed with new drummer Steve Norris. They removed all previous music from the public and vowed to be a brand new band at the end of 2017. They were offered a slot at yet another Camden Rocks Festival and the prestigious Isle of Wight Festival 2018.[3][4]

At the end of 2018 they released their debut single as the new line up entitled "Alkaline". The track gained immediate recognition from music blogs and gained national radio play on Radio X, with presenter John Kennedy saying the band are "Proving that the spirit of The Buzzcocks is well and truly going strong".[5] The band continued to gig in and around London and March 2019 saw the release of their second single "Kathmandu Kid". 2019 also brings the band to their third show at Camden Rocks Festival.[6]
