Central Coaches (Aberdeen) Ltd. is a coach-hire company based in Aberdeen, Scotland.
History
The company was founded in 1984 by Derek Smith as "Central Taxis Aberdeen". At that time, it operated solely as a taxi hire firm, before branching out to coach hire later on. [1] In 2006, Derek Smith died and Lynne Smith became managing director.
In Summer 2013, Central Coaches won the contract to provide official transport for Aberdeen F.C.. Since then, the firm has secured partnerships with Dundee United and formerly Dundee Football Club, becoming their official transport providers too. [2]
In June 2025, Managing Director Lynne Smith passed away. Subsequently, Ryan Smith assumed the position of Managing Director.
Fleet
Central's fleet consists of over 120 vehicles, ranging from small cars to large tri-axle coaches. [1]
