Cerámica Malpesa

Cerámica Malpesa S.A. is one of the most important and largest producer of bricks in Spain, belonging to the Spanish brick makers Hispalyt Group and awared in the Vlll edition of the Familia-Empresa Awards San Telmo de Málaga.

José Malpesa Guerrero (CEO and Hispalyt President) evolved the way to model ceramic, developing Flexbrick, awarded in 2014 with the Placa de honor de la Asociación Española de Científicos[1] (category of innovative companies). In 2013 1st Premios Cataluña Construcción[2] (category of Innovation in Construction). In 2013 Finalista al Premio Construmat[3] (category of Technological Innovation). In 1994 and in 1999 won the Alfa de Oro[4] (honorable mention) by the SECV.

History

Since 1908, it started from a traditional pottery where in addition to terracotta objects for domestic use, bricks and adobes were manufactured in a manual process, end up to the four large factories in Bailén, Jaén. Cerámica Malpesa[5] is nowadays a lider company in the Spanish market, making briks and pavers and counting with an staff that make up 130 professionals.
